" Prison In Febuary, & I Aint In No Rush! "

As you all know, rapper Lil Wayne made headlines a while back when he pleaded guilty for a gun possession charge. Under his plea deal, Wayne will only serve a maximum sentence of a year in the New York City jail system & as little as 8 months with good behavior.

Wayne & the rest of Young Money, as well as his huge fan base, have been anticipating his incarceration for some time now. He made it his goal to leave the fans with something to vibe to while he was away. He recently released the Young Money family's album debut of We Are Young Money, along with his mixtape No Ceilings & his album The Rebirth.

This past weekend, the rapper kicked back his feet & popped bottles with friends at a going away party to celebrate one last time before he hits Ricker's Island. Of course in attendance were Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, Shanell, & Baby. Other faces in the crowd were fellow Hot Boy BG, Sean Garrett, and Wale.

With so much anticipation leading up to today's sentencing trail, you would think that Wayne would just want to suit on up in the orange jumper & just get the time served. But to every one's surprise, the rapper didn't get sent off behind bars today. Instead, he received an extension on his sentencing hearing until March 2nd. Why?, might you ask - dental surgery. & I'll leave this one at that!
